ICF Update: Medical Container Arrived in Oaxaca

On July 14, the Posner Center received exciting news that a container full of beds, medical supplies and equipment was delivered to the Hospital de la Niñez Oaxaqueña (HNO) in Oaxaca, Mexico.

Funded by the Posner Center International Collaboration Fund, Tenant World Child Cancer and Member Project C.U.R.E worked together to obtain and deliver this container full of equipment will allow the hospital to strengthen its medical infrastructure, outfit the pediatric oncology ward to care for more cancer patients, and improve outcomes for all children at the HNO.

Staff members from World Child Cancer USA stayed at HNO for several days after the container’s arrival to train doctors, nurses, and social workers.

A ceremony to celebrate the arrival of the medical equipment also took place at the hospital, with an official from the Secretary of Health, the media, and families of patients in attendance. We can’t wait to hear more stories from HNO about how doctors are using the medical supplies to help their patients!
