Overview

Before the Posner Center, the hundreds of Colorado-based organizations focused on fighting global poverty operate in complete isolation from one another. Though they shared similar goals and challenges, even working in the same geographies and sectors, most believed they were alone in their work – a phenomena not unique to Colorado, but experienced in the international development sector as a whole.

The Posner Center challenges the norm, transforming international development by bringing together organizations and building community – a community where they can meet and learn about one another, exchange ideas, access shared resources and support, and ultimately combine their expertise to generate more lasting solutions to global poverty.

Today, the Posner Center community is home to close to 200 organizations, both nonprofit and for-profit, working in over 100 countries around the world, focused on everything from agriculture, to girls education, to grassroots economic development.
