Experience a Day in the Life of an Indian Girl!

Assume the life of a girl in India for the afternoon and see how she fights to stay in school, escapes child marriage, stands up for her rights, and takes care of her own health and nutrition. In addition, attendees will listen to the distinguished speaker, Medhavinee Namjoshi, who is recognized internationally for her work on women and girls’ rights in India as head of Vacha (“voice”) in Mumbai, a Shadhika grantee. Attendees will also enjoy an Indian dance performance by Mudra Dance Studio and hors d’oeuvres by Little India.
