Join us for the third of a 4 part series to strengthen your data visualization and use.

Practical Data Visualization: So far our series on data visualization and use have been more focused on use – so this week we’re going to start a deep dive on practical data visualization. Kurt will present the principles and guidance from the first section of “Better Data Visualizations” book and will conclude with an open discussion where you can share your experiences, questions, and needs. Bring your current data viz projects, questions, and stories of success and struggle to share!

This session will try the ‘hybrid’ approach we discussed last month – with the first 30 minutes focused on content, and the last 30 on networking – so join us at the Posner Center in the Boardroom upstairs or by Zoom.

The Posner Center has offered a budget to support our community of practice, so we can provide the excellent book “Better Data Visualizations: A Guide for Scholars, Researchers, and Wonks” by Jonathan Schwabish to interested participants. We will also have two copies of “Data Visualization” by Stephanie Evergreen available in the Posner Library.

All registered participants will receive access to the recordings for all sessions, so don’t worry if you missed a previous session.
