How do we get students to care about big issues in history and in the world today? Too many traditional history classrooms focus on facts and dates and don’t stimulate moral reflection and moral action in students. Come explore with the staff at Facing History and Ourselves how we can get young people – both in schools and out of schools — to engage in conversations and reflection around such topics as race, justice, tolerance, and to understand why it matters that we care not only for those in our neighborhood, but for those around the world as well.
Open to Tenants, Members and the Public
