Sakar Pudasaini is a social entrepreneur turned nonprofit CPA who understands that behind every spreadsheet is a mission that matters. Before founding Beancount, Sakar spent over a decade as a mission-driven leader, where he built the financial and operational infrastructure needed to scale a shared vision into a reality.

Most notably, he founded and scaled Karkhana, an international education social enterprise that combined direct impact with policy advocacy, serving over 40,000 students and teachers annually. This journey taught him that financial clarity is essential to growth, but it must be achieved in an empathy-driven, people-first way. He knows that for a mission-driven leader, the books aren’t just about compliance they are the roadmap to confident decision making.

Today, Sakar serves as a strategic partner to nonprofit executives, helping them translate complex data into actionable insights. His commitment to the social sector extends beyond Beancount; he currently serves on the board of Community Action Programs (CAP) of Boulder County and as a partner at Social Venture Partners Denver, where he provides pro-bono services to help small nonprofits thrive.

Sakar believes that when organizations achieve financial fluency they can amplify their impact.
