A key aspect of international work is developing processes for continual feedback and learning about how projects and programs are progressing. Not only must effective development work be grounded in the expressed needs and desires of a given community or region, but ongoing information about the successes, delays, changes, and challenges needs to be integrated into effective communication processes throughout the organization. What are some of the practices in place in larger international development organizations? Small NGOs? What can organizations engaged in hosting international visitors contribute to this conversation? How do dynamics of race, nationality, language and power figure into these conversations? How can we improve our practice of learning directly from the communities with which we are engaged?

The Posner Center will also share about a potential new program to bring international staff of Tenant organizations to Denver to improve learning from the field. Participants will be invited to provide feedback to help further shape this program. Learn from the experience of our lead discussants and come with your own experience, ideas and questions! Lead discussants include: Bruce McCrae from iDE, Maria Rosa Galter from AfricAid, and Dan Wienecke and Gergana Kostadinova from World Denver. Lead discussants will be available for 30 minutes of networking following the formal event
