Denver Urban Gardens
Held at Barnum Orchard – 163 N. King Street, Denver, CO 80219
Do you have fruit trees and/or shrubs in your community garden or backyard? Pruning must be done annually to keep trees and fruiting shrubs healthy and productive. In this workshop we will learn about plant care and various pruning options, reasons for each and how to execute them. Held in DUG’s first, newly built community orchard, we will collaboratively discuss and then demo each cut or branch manipulation. With an eye to the future we will also mark potential permanent branches. By the end of this workshop you will be excited and empowered to plant and manage your own fruiting trees and shrubs.
$20 general public, $10 DUG participants.
