Seeds of Time: Documentary Film Screening and Panel Discussion

  •  April 5, 2016
     6:00 PM - 8:30 PM

Join Friends of ENCA Farm and Denver Urban Gardens for the film screening and discussion about Seeds of Time the Movie.

Seeds of Time follows agriculture pioneer Cary Fowler as he races against time to protect the future of our food. Seed banks around the world are crumbling, crop failures are producing starvation and rioting, and the accelerating effects of climate change are affecting farmers globally. Communities of indigenous Peruvian farmers are already suffering those effects, as they try desperately to save over 1,500 varieties of native potato in their fields. But with little time to waste, both Fowler and the farmers embark on passionate and personal journeys that may save the one resource we cannot live without: our seeds.

The event will include a post screening panel discussion with seed saving and organic farming experts from throughout Colorado. Enjoy popcorn and drinks and learn about the critical importance of seed saving for the future of farming around the world. We look forward to seeing you on Tuesday, April 5th at 6pm at The Posner Center for International Development for this special event.
