Please join John Amaechi OBE, human rights advocate, psychologist, New York Times best-selling author, and former NBA player in a conversation about fostering a more compassionate and inclusive society. In his 2007 New York Times best-selling book Man in the Middle, Amaechi chronicled his life and work, providing distinct lessons to anyone ever told that they were not capable of doing great things. Amaechi will discuss how each of us faces daily choices that shape the future for ourselves and our community.
This event is presented by Facing History and Ourselves and The Allstate Foundation. As part of Facing History’s national series of Community Conversations, this event is free and open to the public.
