Join One Earth Future as they co-launch the release of the Institute for Economics and Peace‘s 9th annual Global Peace Index in Denver, Colorado. The Global Peace Index measures peace in 162 countries according to 22 indicators that gauge the absence of violence or the fear of violence.

At the Denver event, Aubrey Fox, Executive Director, Institute for Economics and Peace; Andrew Mack, OEF Fellow and Director of the Human Security Report Project; Deborah Avant, Chair of the International Security and Diplomacy and Director of the Sie Centre at the University of Denver will discuss the following questions:

• Is the world becoming more peaceful or are we deteriorating into violence and conflict?
• What are the global and regional trends in peace?
• What are the main factors that build peace and how can we prevent violence in the future?

Other release events of the 2015 Global Index will occur in London, Washington DC, New York, Oslo, and Brussels.
