DSST’s Entrepreneurship in East Africa Presentation

  •  August 11, 2015
     5:30 PM - 7:00 PM

This summer, a group of six DSST high school students in the Entrepreneurial Studies Program had the opportunity to visit East Africa and experience firsthand the entrepreneurial spirit that is so very prevalent in Uganda and Rwanda. During this trip, the students were able to work with existing startups performing consulting work, while also engaging in conversations and dialogue with numerous individuals in many different fields. This trip was truly an opportunity for the students to learn about diverse topics ranging from education and health care to NGOs and how to launch a social enterprise. But most importantly, this trip was about listening, exchanging knowledge, and developing human connections.

Join us for an evening of presentations from these students, where they will share some of their key takeaways and lessons learned. It promises to be an exciting and enriching evening!
