Block Party

  •  September 14, 2017
     12:00 PM - 1:00 PM

Posner Center

How can we support young people to become global citizens? Come to our September Block Party to hear from two organizations doing just this kind of changemaking: Posner Member the Colorado School of Mines Humanitarian Engineering Program and Tenant World Affairs Challenge.

The School of Mines will discuss the concept and practice of humanitarian engineering, provide examples that emerge from this community, and help answer the question are there applications of engineering that apply to my own organization? Learn how to work with Mines on a possible project.

The World Affairs Challenge works with middle and high-school aged students to develop awareness and understanding that enables them to engage effectively as a global citizen. Learn how they partner with schools, the interesting work students generate, and how the Posner network is poised to help this next generation of leaders.

This event is free and open to the public.
