Film Screening: An Act of Love at the Denver Film Festival

  •  November 10, 2015
     6:00 PM - 9:00 PM

Join Facing History and Ourselves Emerging Leaders Council and Young Education Professionals – Colorado (YEP)  on November 10 at 6 p.m. for happy hour at Lucky Strike followed by a powerful screening at the Denver Film Festival, An Act of Love.

An Act of Love tells the story of an unwitting advocate in the fight for equal rights within the Church, Rev. Frank Schaefer, who had his ministerial credentials revoked in December 2013 after officiating his son’s same-sex wedding.

The film starts at 6:45pm. We’ll meet 6pm next door to the UA Pavilions Theater at Lucky Strike for a drink and to learn a little bit about the work Facing History is doing to integrate LGBTQ topics into the classroom and create safe and inclusive schools in Colorado.

We have 30 tickets reserved at the discounted price of $12. Tickets purchased with us can be picked up at the pre-screening happy hour or at the Facing History table in the UA Pavilions Theater lobby. Be sure to park in the Pavilions parking lot; the theater will validate your parking.

Location: Lucky Strike & UA Pavilions Theater,500 16th St #310, Denver, CO 80202
