Chinook Fund

With our Fall 2016 Giving Project cycle underway, we are continuing to share information about the Giving Project for the upcoming Spring 2017 cycle. Join us for this information session to hear details about our program as well as testimonials from current Giving Project participants.

The Giving Project is comprised of 20 participants from various class backgrounds, racial and ethnic groups, gender identities and sexual orientations, and ages interested in developing skills in fundraising, grantmaking, and community building with the common goal to give and raise resources for social change. Our goal is to promote understanding across different backgrounds and expand networks of social justice while giving grants to the most effective and most democratic organizations in our communities. We would be happy to compensate participants for travel and lodging costs coming from different parts of the state to attend this project.

The Giving Project uses Chinook Fund’s longstanding criteria to select grantees and provide general operating grants in amounts up to $4,000 for Start-Up organizations and up to $10,000 for Established organizations. The process for applicants and grantees and all of our application materials will remain the same.

If you are interested in participating in the Giving Project as a cohort member and donor activist, please RSVP to join our information sessions.
