Israeli-Palestinian Conflict: Current Prospects for Peace
Meet the Middle East (MTME) will present a brief overview of how the Israeli/Palestinian conflict began, and what the situation looks like today. We will touch on the recent (failed) peace efforts by John Kerry, the new unity government being established in Palestine between Hamas and Fatah, and the ongoing incursion by the Israeli Defense Force (IDF) into West Bank cities for the first time since 2007. Small groups will have a chance to discuss provided questions and share their opinions with other attendees.
