Introduction to Geographic Information Systems (GIS)
Do you want to boost your exposure to potential donors and tell your story visually?
Are you seeking to improve your data analysis, comparison to standard indicators, and map your impact powerfully?
emBOLDen Alliances and several local GIS Experts, who combined have more than 40 years of experience in mapping, are going to change the way you view and present data and your programs! Any NGO interested in amazing, simple, and inexpensive ways to understand, analyze and present your data as well as visually represent your work is encouraged to attend. A light dinner will be served.
What will you gain?
- Recognize the basics of GIS Maps, including layers, labels, indicators, etc.
- Identify GIS training and educational resources.
- Recall StoryMapping as a powerful tool for donors, beneficiaries, and stakeholders.
- Construct a sample map by applying GIS principles and analyzing demographic data.
What should you bring?
PC format laptop with access to WiFi to use ArcGISOnline during our session.
