The Posner Center is pleased to announce a new partnership with Colorado’s largest company, Arrow Electronics. Arrow provides products, services, and solutions to industry and commercial user of electrical components and enterprise computing solutions. Directly serving over 80 countries, they are truly a global company.

We’ve partnered to create the Arrow Innovation in Technology Award, a distinct grant within the Posner Center’s International Collaboration Fund. The fund supports innovative partnerships within the Posner Center community, leveraging the power of collaboration for greater impact. The Arrow Innovation in Technology Award will provide a $20,000 grant to a collaboration that embodies the spirit of innovation in technology to benefit humanity.

Arrow Electronics has had previous Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) efforts in the developing world, most notably their DigiTruck project with Belgian NGO Close the Gap. Together, they converted a storage container into a fully-equipped digital classroom that runs on solar power and have plans to build other mobile classrooms across Africa.

Arrow’s partnership with the Posner Center represents a new approach within their broader CSR strategy. Rather than a pre-defined project or approach, they’re launching a competitive award to see what kinds of innovative collaborations emerge from the Posner Center’s network of more than 150 organizations working in 100 countries worldwide. The 2019 request for Letters of Interest was issued earlier this month. International Collaboration Fund awardees will be selected by the end of this year, with a public announcement in early January.  Stay tuned to find out which project is selected and just how that collaboration uses technology to benefit humanity.
